Synopsis
- In this interactive map from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication, students will see how much people in Ireland agree or disagree with statements related to climate change.
- The information is organized by county, color-coded, and based on the Climate Change in the Irish Mind study.

Differentiation & Implementation
- Teachers can give each student a different question from the survey to analyze the map. Students can then analyze the data and write their analysis. Students can then take this question and survey their classmates, compiling the data and creating a similar map organized by grade or class.
- Students can analyze the maps for the Policy Support questions and compare this to the prevalence of related policies in Ireland or the specific counties. Students can discuss why policy actions may or may not reflect public opinion.
- These maps can be used to introduce various topics, such as economic policies to reduce fossil fuel use, climate impacts in Ireland, agricultural impacts, and climate anxiety.
- Students can compare the Ireland map to similar maps of the United States or Canada.
